Does Nutrisystem Work?

What is it?

Nutrisystem is a weight loss plan designed to help you lose weight by sending you prepackaged foods that offer portion control along with grocery recommendations. The company was founded in 1972 and has been helping people lose weight for nearly half a century.

Their most recent product, Lean 13, helps you lose up to 13 pounds and 7 inches in your first month (the study showed an average weight loss of 11.6 pounds and 8 inches) with a money back guarantee that allows anyone to send the product back within the first 14 days if not satisfied. A majority of the meals are prepped by Nutrisystem and shipped right to your door, but they also provide a grocery list of fruits vegetables, and other foods if you’d like to add to the list.

So, in short, Does Nutrisystem Work? Yes. It is very effective in helping you lose weight in your first month and keep if off if you stay on the program. We are also able to offer $80 off Nutrisystem’s Lean 13 here.

Uniquely Yours

For the price, we recommend the Core Plan (under $10 a day) when first starting out. The key to losing weight is following the portion control so the extra meals aren’t as valuable in our opinion.

Is Nutrisystem Expensive

At first glance, it appears that way. Paying roughly $270-$300 seems like a lot of money upfront. However, when comparing it to a month’s grocery bill while also factoring in costs of eating out, it’ll actually save the average consumer money. At just under $10 a day in food, I’d expect most to save money on food bills even with the added grocery recommendations.

What Are The Cons of Nutrisystem

As with any portion controlled diet, hunger will be a big hurdle.

Also, those that like to cook will need to get a little extra from the grocery list since all Nutrisystem meals are prepackaged

I made the commitment to lose weight, but I didn’t have the right program, and it came right back. Finally, I decided to try Nutrisystem, and I was surprised at how well it worked. Everything I tasted was delicious! And after 4 months, I upgraded to include frozen foods, which made it even easier to stick to the plan.

Nutrisystem Favorites

I’ve personally used Nutrisystem to lose weight (successfully) and am a huge fan of the Chicken noodle soup, penne Bolognese with meat sauce and the chicken alfredo! If you order the uniquely yours or the core plan, you can customize your meals and would strongly recommend adding these to the order. I included some of my own pictures as well.

Nutrisystem - Chicken Noodle Soup
Nutrisystem - Penne Bologesie with Meat Sauce
Nutrisystem - Chicken Alfredo

These provide a high source of protein and low calories. You should note that some items are high in sodium as well since they provide you with a whole month’s worth of food.
