Bataleon Snowboards was founded in 2000 by biophsysicist Jorgen Karlson in the Netherlands. Karlson studied the riding properties of a snowboard and came up with the idea of the 3BT – triple base technology. Rejected by every snowboard company he took this new snowboard technology to, he ended up founding Bataleon. Starting off as a small business, it has developed into a company, that can easily compete with the big snowboarding companies.

For over a decade now, Bataleon has led the industry in 3D shape technology. Bataleon’s  Triple Base Technology produces boards with traditional camber and lifted contact points, making snowboarding more enjoyable. With the introduction of 3rd generation 3BT (including the new patented Sidekick), Bataleon continues to push the envelope in snowboard design.
